Does he really like me?

okay, so my friends told me that someone likes me and i don't know who it is, but a guy in my class (max) pushed this other guy (tom) at me. I thought he was just playing around cause tom and max are like really good mates but lately, even when im sitting down, max pushed tom onto my desk! My friend also told me that Tom addmitted that he liked me on facebook but Tom always seems to be annoying and talking to this other girl in my class who is one of my best friends... does he like me or her? im really confused.. also, max once said that tom wanted to ask me something so he told me to wait outside the classroom for him so i did. But when Tom came out he said "oh if Max told you to wait outside then he's lying." so me and my friend just said okay and walked away. on the same day when me and my friend were waiting in the canteen line, Tom and his other friend came behind me and the other friend said "Tom wants to ask you something." and then Tom said "what! no i don't.. i will ask her what i want when i want!" and the other guy said "ask her!" and Tom said "you ask her!" and other guy said "no, your the one who likes her." !! its pretty obvious that he likes me but he always seems to be talking to the other girl that i mentioned before... why ? does he really like me? im really confsed... sorry for the long story but i would really appreciate it if you can help me:)
