I wrote a letter to convince my parents to have something think it will work?

im 13 also a dude and i've been trying to get a lock for my door my parents love it when i put effort into something so they love almost everything i do sports and stuff so i wrote a letter of all the reasons why they wouldnt want to me to have one and how they can be resolved and why i want a lock i wanna know if you guys think it will work :D here it is! "mom/dad this is a topic that has been bugging me awhile i've asked you guys twice but i think i need it. i would like a lock for my bedroom WAIT! before you say no i have thought of all the reasons why you wouldnt want me to have a lock and thought of the solutions 1.fire hazard i know you guys and you would think it was a fire hazard to have a lcok well i wouldnt have the door locked at night the door would be unlocked 70% of the time 2.internet because of my age you would be worried that i was looking at dirty stuff on the internet i promise that i wouldnt do that and doesnt bro have a thing where he can through my history on his comp. 3.girlz!!!!!!! now i know when im older im gonna start asking to bring girlz home and i would wanna bring em' upstairs but i would keep the door open 4. trying to stay clear from you guys when im in trouble uhh im not stupid pretty sure dad could take the door down 5.trying to sneak out stupid idea how would i get back in my room and i dont feel like falling from a second story window just to get outside. see? they can be resolved. but the reasons i want a lock. mom always likes to say im growing up and i need to do this and this well its true i am GROWING UP. i need more privacy i need some time to myself every now and then really i do you have to understand this i need my privacy and i need time to myself now and then i hope you understand and consider it. i got good grades in school im a good person i at least deserve this.
